A late 18th century illustration of Coelogyne pandurata, a species of orchid in the Family Orchidaceae, native to Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo and the Philippines as a large sized, hot growing epiphyte found on large trees near rivers. From Iconographie des Orchidees, a magazine of botanical illustrations published by Jean Jules Linden (1817-1898) was a Belgian botanist, explorer and horticulturist who specialised in orchids.
