The Ganesha Award
ABOUT THE GANESHA AWARD
The Ganesha Award is an internal prize that is awarded annually. The founder and protector of the prize is Per Spildra Borg; leader and founder of Stella Polaris. It is he who decides who receives the prize, and usually it is he who distributes the prize. Anyone who wants can recommend possible prize recipients.
The Prize aims to shed light on the elephant god Ganesha’s spiritual powers and attributes, which coincide with the ones Stella Polaris developes, as well as stimulating anyone who works at Stella Polaris to do their utmost for the group and community. The prize winner should be involved in moving the group forward. Through his/her characteristics he/she should be unifying, should think in a newfound way on his/her area of respinsibility, and should show a humble attitude towards the group’s vision. The prize winner should show good cooperative qualities, be able to improvise, and show that he/she is able to reach greater knowledge through his/her work. The winner should show his/her own love for the work, which lifts it up into another dimension. The prize can be given on popular, administrative, educational, artistic or spiritual criteria, or they can be a combination of them all.
The prize is awarded just before Christmas, usually during the annual Christmas party.
The winners of Ganesha Award 2022 are Bente Skaara Berg, Anna Tarakhcyan and Gergø Popa.
