Yesterday, while we were basking in the glow of Wheesung’s return, another Kpop veteran made her way to the stage.

The former S.E.S. member started her own label back in 2013 and we kind of thought that would be it as far as her doing any more music.  Instead, we get this slightly out-of-nowhere track (she did say she would be making a comeback, but it was scheduled for April) that is light and fun for the summer months.

Lyrically, the song is your standard, “shine your love on me” track, but the happy, bright production are what save this from mediocrity.  The Kanto verse does fit, it doesn’t really feel like it belongs in this song and is far too short to really make an impact.  Bada’s voice, which still sounds a lot like when she was a teenager, adds a lot of life and energy to an already upbeat track, making it a toe-tapper.  It’s not the most substantive of songs, but it is worth a few listens if only bask in some audio sunlight for about three minutes.
