I have a late 2007 MacPro2,1 - A1186 - 2138
cpu : intel Q. Core Xeon X5365 x2 3.0GHz
RAM : 17GB DDR2
HDD: 4 TB & 240 SSD
boot camp 4.0.4
and I simply can't complete the installation of windows 7 on it. I am caught in a Windows Error Recovery screen loop, it just keeps restarting and go back to that screen. I have tried just about everything I can think of and have tried everything suggested in my search for a solution.
please guide me .

Are you installing W7 64-bit? If yes, it is not supported on your Mac - Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support .

My problem is still not right.
In the second stage I had trouble installing Windows 7.
The first phase of the Windows installation is done rightly. And the system is reset when the second phase begins installing Windows 7 Windows error recovery and do not be installed.
On the CD/DVD, you should have two icons, Windows and EFI Boot. Which one are you choosing?
Do you want to install Windows on this 240Gb disk permanently or are you testing the installation and plan to install it on the larger 4TB disk eventually?
We have two choices.
Use the 240GB disk completely for Windows, or,
Manually partition the 4TB disk for Windows and OS X.
If you want to use the 240GB disk, physically remove the 4TB disk.
If you want to use the 4TB disk, remove the 240GB disk, and we need to manually partition the 4TB disk to use the first 2TB for Windows and the remaining 2TB for OS X.
Windows PCs can create driver issues due to hardware differences between the PC and the Mac. However, a Microsoft SysPrep can be used to generalize a Windows installation once, and then installed on a Mac using third-party cloning software.
Remove the 4TB disk from the Mac.
Leave only the SSD connected.
Boot from the W7 DVD.
Press Shift+F10 to get to command prompt.
Run Diskpart
SELECT DISK 0
CLEAN
CONVERT MBR
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY SIZE=223000
FORMAT FS=NTFS QUICK
EXIT
EXIT the Command Prompt.
Now select the partition and try to install Windows.

Yes. I use CD DVD.
Mac OS was erased by mistake.
How many CD icons do you see when you try to boot from the DVD?
