The W890i is the successor to Sony Ericsson's popular W880i music mobile phone. It's a slim, stylish handset, clad in brushed aluminium. Features include a 2-inch screen, 3.2MP camera, Bluetooth A2DP, FM radio and, of course, a built-in music player.

Sony Ericsson's Media Manager software comes with the phone. It tracks down music files stored on your PC so you can transfer them across. The Walkman music player is simple, concise and uncomplicated.

The phone comes supplied with a generous 2GB Memory Stick Micro memory card. Musically, the W890i sounds punchy, and powerful, with a fine sense of timing. The only drawback is the headphones. They err on the bright side but you can always upgrade through the included 3.5mm adaptor.
