A skincare routine for sensitive skin
The first step in the French model's skincare routine? Removing all impurities and traces of pollution from the surface of her face, the first thing she does after her motorbike rides through the capital. Then it's time for a pampering ritual for her skin, a process she has perfected over the years. "I had hyperpigmentation because of the sun and medication. It made my skin hyper-sensitive," confides Maeva. “So, I really have to take care of it and use non-aggressive products. That's why I think I can recommend good products." The model goes for the crème de la crème of beauty products, including Dior, Barbara Sturm and Augustinus Bader, and proven massage tools like gua sha.
Makeup which allows the skin to breathe
“I always tried to hide my freckles with make-up, because I was a bit ashamed of them and didn't accept them at all. So I tried several times to wear foundation over them. It ended up looking grey, and I think it's the same for acne and scars. It's worse to try and hide them, because you see them even more. There's nothing better than embracing who you are," says Maeva Marshall from the very beginning. Throughout her make-up routine, the model highlights her unique and charming features rather than trying to hide them. All this, with a few tips of her own or ones that she's nicked from the pros. “I put my blush on to try and make it look like ‘I went in the sun and got a sunburn.' I think it's so cute.” Armed with Saint Laurent, Glossier and Pat McGrath Labs pigments, Maeva creates her signature make-up look: a pink and glossy eye and a sunkissed complexion with a translucent effect. It's the ideal fresh and edgy summer look.
