Kanye, 46, announced the Yeezy hiring on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Wednesday.

The post read: "The arrival of this legendary Russian designer at Yeezy, the pre-eminent global brand in music and fashion, is a milestone in design history,"

Gosha has his own fashion label, founded in 2008, and has worked with brands like Burberry, Dr. Martens, and Levi's.

He also collaborated with Adidas on a 2018 clothing collection inspired by the World Cup.

Adidas terminated its multimillion-dollar deal with Kanye last year after he made a string of antisemitic comments online.

Gosha also participated in the artwork for Kanye's upcoming album, Vultures - which he has been promoting in Miami with his wife Bianca Censori.

In 2018, Gosha was accused of sending inappropriate messages to a teenage boy.

The teen shared screenshots of their alleged exchanges.

In the screengrabs, a person he claimed was Gosha asked him to send him images of himself.

Adidas said it would investigate the accusations made by the teenage boy.

GOSHA'S DENIAL

Gosha's team firmly denied the allegations, claiming the exchange was not sexual and "happens all the time" in street casting.

"Gosha did a Facetime with him and then he asked for a photo to have on file with all the others," they said in a statement.

"The person said he wasn’t alone and couldn’t take a photo so Gosha suggested he just quickly go to the bathroom and take a quick photo in the mirror, so he could show the rest of the team and have it on file."

They argued the screenshots had been altered and taken out of context to make Gosha look bad.

His team added: "The person started contacting us very often demanding an answer about the casting and became a bit weird.

"So Gosha blocked him and we think this is why the person is trying to make Gosha look bad, and turn what was a totally innocent street casting into something that it was not."

Kanye faced controversy himself earlier this week when he wore what many thought looked like a KKK-style hood while performing onstage in Miami.

The rapper, 46, faced horrified backlash on Monday night at his Vultures launch party after donning a black pointed hat with eye holes cut out.

Fans thought it resembled the white one typically associated with the Ku Klux Klan, the name of an American white supremacist, far-right hate group.
