Liza Koshy is feeling futuristic. The actor, host, and YouTuber just hit the red carpet in the coolest metal mini dress that was equal parts '60s mod and 2023 modern.
Liza attended the Fashion Trust US Awards in a shiny silver halter dress made of metal medallions linked together to create a chain mail effect. The dress hung off slim straps of the same metal and dipped into a low V-neck for a chic twist on the classic halter cocktail dress. Because the dress itself is see-through, Liza wore it over a pair of underwear and nothing else. (She also made sure to use some tape to cover her nipples to make sure the 'fit was as seamless as possible.)
While we can't get a firm ID on the dress, it's clearly reminiscent of Paco Rabanne's iconic metal dress, which shocked the fashion world when they were first released in the 1960s. (A Paco Rabanne dress even lives at the Metropolitan Museum of Art!)
Liza styled the look with a pair of neutral pumps to keep the focus on the metal mini and opted for simple, neutral makeup and hair too. Her nails were manicured in a milky pink-white, and she wore her hair pulled up in a twist to better show off her statement-making dress. The star wore just a hint of contour on her cheeks, a bit of liner, and lots of mascara for a '60s-esque doe eye lash, and finished off her makeup with just a hint of gloss. A few earrings laddered up each ear were the only accessories she wore.
Liza has been having a lot of fun with more risqué fashion as of late. A quick scroll through her Instagram is a veritable candy store of inspiration, from a sheer black Dior look with an exposed G-string at the Golden Globes to a bold black and white minidress with structured shoulders at the American Music Awards. She's becoming one of our favorite stars to watch on the red carpet, and we can't wait to see what she wears next.
