Sophronitis coccinea x Laelia dayana coerulea

Hi!

I purchased this tiny little orchid on eBay a few months ago. This is a first time bloom. The plant is in a two inch pot growing in spaghnum moss. One flower measuring about 1.5 inches NS. Wish it were bigger, but I'm pleased with the color.

OK. So if I read it right, the taxo's have done this:

Soph. coccinea = Cattleya coccinea
L. dayana = Cattleya bicalhoi

So this cross is C. Laeta, registered by Veitch in 1894!
