That's great color. Mine has bloomed with cupped flowers before but also flattened in subsequent blooming. So, there's hope. That flower is nice and chunky.

Could be that the petals have expanded but I see the dark brown lines from the first pic breaking up and they seem to be lighter brown now. The contrast on the first pic is so amazing.

It's still beautiful!!

What a lovely bloom, though its 2016 flower had more red in pouch and staminode and.....therefore it was slightly better - at least in my eyes.
