Turns out to be a dark color bloom. I was expecting creamy/light pink flowers, but am pleasantly surprised.

I would be expecting the white/cream color as well, thats why this isn't a Deperle. Its another hybrid, maybe a Delophyllum or similar hybrid.

I once read that occasionally some offspring are pink, but I am not sure if this is true. I too was thinking it would be whitish. I do think yours is pretty though.

You could be right there Dot, I remember seeing a photo of that cross also, maybe the same photo.

I don't know if it's still on their website but they used to have a photo of it, looked just the same.

I think it looks closer to the dark DePerle than to any Delophylum. Look at the dark color and stripes of the lateral petals.
