In the show, Katic will play FBI agent Emily Byrne, who disappears while hunting a notorious serial killer in Boston and is eventually declared dead. Six years later, she’s found, barely alive, in a remote cabin in the woods. To thicken the plot, she has no memory at all of the six years she was missing. She returns home and struggles with the fact that her husband has remarried and her son is being raised by another woman, and as if that weren’t enough drama, she’s soon implicated in a series of murders that took place while she was missing.
