Be sure to read this manual carefully to gain a thorough understanding of the correct procedures before servicing this product.
The printer processor uses both tapping truss head screws and spike truss head screws. When attaching the screws once
removed, make sure they are on their original positions. These screws are used for the place where grounding is required.

NOTE
• Performing the above operations restores the initial password setting (0123).
The Password Deletion display is not shown if the password has not been changed from the
initial setting.
The Password Deletion display is shown only when the password has been registered.

NOTE
• To change the monitor display size of the PC used in EZ Controller, changing the properties of the screen in the following
procedure is required after changing the Monitor Type setting of TYPE 1 or TYPE 2.
• Example: Makes the PRM (Judgement Display) go full-screen on the monitor at 1280 × 1024 pixels
1. Select TYPE 2 in Monitor Type.

However, there are LCD monitors that are shown at the resolution of 1280 × 1024 pixels only.
If this monitor is used, the displayed image is enlarged in the vertical direction.
In this case, set the monitor type setting to TYPE 2 to prevent enlarging the Judgement Display or Edit Display in the vertical
direction.

IMPORTANT
• Reading the backup data twice is required when the following operation is
carried out.
1. If the data of the EZ Controller is initialized.
2. If the PC or HDD which installed the EZ Controller is replaced.
3. If the PC which installed the EZ Controller is recovered.
NOTE
• Reading Data (for the first time): the EZ Controller setting data is read. This
recovers the registered information about devices connected to the EZ Controller
(the printer and the scanner).
Reading Data (for the second time): the setting data of each device is read based on
the device information that has been recovered by the first reading.
Type Select the data to be read.
3 Input Media/ Path Setting Select the storage media to be read.
• Backup data of the processor or scanner section saved with the EZ Controller cannot be read from the processor section or scanner
section.
• Data is written by the EZ Controller in the order: the scanner section→printer/ processor section→controller section.

• If the connected device of which the backup data is included is in process or offline while backup data is being read,
the data of that device cannot be read.

IMPORTANT
• The destinations of the image data may be changed. When you back up the data, confirm the destinations on the
Operator Selections display.
• The destinations of the format data may be changed. When you back up the data, confirm the destinations on the
Multi Purpose Format Creation Software.

Basically, almost all data are replaced by backup data.
However, data below are not replaced.
*1. The laser unit main body holds the Laser Operation Record data. Therefore, the data will not be replaced even when Read all data or Write all
data is selected.

2. Click Path Setting and select the drive or folder to which data is saved.

4. Click Write.
The connected devices are checked.
After the check is finished, the folder by each date is created to the specified destination and the backup data is saved.
After the data is saved, the message Writing of data was completed. is shown.
If data of any device cannot be written
If a device registered to the EZ Controller is in process or is off-line, data of the device cannot be written. If data of the device
could not be written, the Reading and Writing Data display is shown and the device name is shown.
Confirm the content and click Yes to save data.

• If the connected device of which the backup data is included is in process or offline while backup data is being
read, the data of that device cannot be read.
If the backup data includes information which cannot be read, the device name that was not read is shown on
the Reading and Writing Data display.

If the number of errors exceeds the limit, the oldest one is deleted.

Basic adjustments of the display monitor can be performed. In addition, the displayed color can be adjusted according to the color of
prints. Also display monitor color can be adjusted to the print color according to the operating environment of the system.
IMPORTANT
• Before performing the monitor setup, check whether the color can be checked in the current condition. Change the
environment of the operating place as needed.

Perform the following adjustments using hard keys or buttons of the display monitor.
1. Set color temperature to the value displayed on the monitor with the hard keys.
2. Maximize the contrast.

3. Adjust the brightness so that the difference of the density between the BGR digital values 0, 0, 0 and 10,
10, 10 can barely be distinguished.

Compare the sample image on the display with the test print. You can adjust the monitor color by clicking the color pallet.

Compare the sample image on the display with the test print. You can adjust the monitor color by selecting a sample image.
REPT: Data Initialization button
The monitor calibration data is initialized.
N: Confirmation button
Images that is adjusted and not adjusted are displayed.
ORDER: Save Profile button
The monitor profile data to which the configured settings are applied is made, and data is overwritten.
D: Detail button
The Detail Setting display is shown and the selected image can be adjusted in detail.
3. After all adjustments are finished, select Save Profile. A new monitor profile is made and the data is
overwritten.

If the PC is shut down forcibly and the EZ Controller does not start up or close down, the data of the database (PostgreSQL) used in
EZ Controller will be corrupted and the error message ☞ No. 15006 An abnormality occurred in the database. may be shown.
Use this tool to recovery the database only if this error message occurs.

If a problem occurs during operation, the operation status when the problem occurs is recorded to HDD as log files.

For the drive diagnostic, the following process is carried out to get result. The fixed data on the hard disk drive is written to the

hard disk drive are compared.
