Registered in 1991, Blc. Chunyeah is a successful yellow standard cattleya grex with a number of awarded clones. The cultivar 'Tzeng-Wen' was the first to garner an AOS award, receiving an 82 point AM in 1999. It blooms throughout the year as growths mature, producing 5-6" canary yellow flowers with red lips. Many clones of this grex, and 'Tzeng-Wen' in particular, feature intense yellow semicircular areas within the throats of the lips.

Heh--nice one Jason! I do believe this is the first non-slipper pic you've ever shown here. What's gonna happen to your rep??
Hey, I can actually see the right picture! And it's really pretty!!
Great pictures, Jason.

would you believe that the first orchids I fancied were the macrocatts and vandas? vandas aren't very suited for home growing, but I am leaning back towards the catts these days, it seems.Originally Posted by lja

another flower on a smaller growth...

The smaller growth seems to have produced an even better looking flower, I think. Maybe it's because the two flowers aren't bunched so closely together, but the shape of that single bloom really stands out.
