Very dark blackish rothschildianum-like flowers, which can have either down-swept petals or more horizontal petals, reflecting either of the parents. The flower spike typically produces 4-5 flowers when the plants are mature.

Johanna Burkhardt was made by Hans Burkhardt who was a professor of biology at Berkley and a great scientist. He did a lot of interesting breeding in the 1980's and 1990's. Johanna was his wife.
