A fabulous cross which produces large dark flowers with good splash petals. The amount of color in the petals may vary with individual plants. Cattleya trianaei always flowers around mid to late December and has the longest lasting flowers for any Cattleya species lasting a good 6 weeks or more. Cattleyas take time to grow and these pants have been growing here since 2016. As of January 2024 they are at the point where some will flower in December of 2024 but most will bloom in 2025
We expect flowers larger than Sangre de Toro with darker color tones than 'Cashens'. This current batch is growing in 4" pots with sphagnum moss and should reach blooming size by 2024 to 2025.
