These orchids are the result of a sib cross of two impressive individuals from our 4N selfing of C. trianaei 'Cashen's FCC/AOS. We believe these will set the standard for the best of C. trianaei once they flower, as we expect very large, well-rounded flowers with spectacular markings. The first two images are of the 'Superfly' clone. The third and fourth images are of the 'Spectacular' clone. This spectacular winter-blooming species is native to Colombia and has the longest lasting flowers of any Cattleya, often lasting for up to 6 weeks or more. The large, fragrant flowers are stunning with their 6" to 8" size. The flowers have a crystalline look to them and sparkle in the light.
