Common Name Wilhelmina's Paphiopedium [Queen of the Netherlands 1900's]

Found in central New Guinea along rivers at elevations around 1700 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial that blooms on a 4 to 4.8” [10 to 12 cm] long, bracted, single flowered inflorescence
Often cited as a synonym of P praestans but there are diferences in the shape and color of the staminode and so I have kept them separate. glanduliferum had a chrome yellow staminode that is much longer than wide with a distal notch from which protrudes a central tooth, while P willhelminae has an almost perfectly square, deep blood red staminode that is indented on the side and distally terminates with a distal minute apiculus.
