Common Name The Revolute Lepanthes [refers tothe sides of the synsepal]

Found in Huanuco departemnt of Peru at elevations around 2700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing, caespitose epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 6 to 7 microscopically ciliate lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptica, subacute to obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on an erect, longer than the leaf, peduncle slender, 1.2 to 1.4" [3 to 3.5 cm] long, rachis .4 to 1.2" [1 to 3 cm] long, lax, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with as longa s the pedicel floral bracts.

"Characterized by a relatively large flower borne successively in a distantly, few-flowered raceme. The dorsal sepal is broadly ovate but acutely triangular above the middle. The lateral sepals are connate into a tubular synsepal with revolute sides. The lobes of the petals are sigmoid and pubescent. The lobes of the lip are flabellate. Similar to L katleri but differs in the non-erose sepals, the oblong, subsigmoid petals and the flabellate lobes of the lip witha different appendix. Luer 2001
