Found in Brazil in the mountains of Espirito Santo as a rare, small sized, cool growing, rupicolous lithophyte at elevations around 1600 meters with a short, creeping rhizome carrying, clustered, cylindrical, tapering towards the apex pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, fleshy leaf that blooms in the northern hemisphere in the late winter and early spring on a terminal, erect to arching, 8 to 16" [10 to 40 cm] long, racemose, laxly to 8 flowered inflorescence that is much longer than the leaf.
