Madonna offered fans a ray of light on Monday, making her first public statement since landing in the ICU with a severe bacterial infection last month.

“Thank you for your positive energy, prayers, and words of healing and encouragement,” the 64-year-old wrote in an Instagram note. “I have felt your love. I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life.”

Madonna revealed that her first thought was for her children when she woke up in the hospital, and her second thought was that she didn’t want to disappoint the fans who had purchased tickets for her Celebration Tour or the other people who have worked on the shows.

“I hate to disappoint anyone,” she wrote. “My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I’ll be back with you as soon as I can!”

Madge added that the current plan for the Celebration Tour is to reschedule the North American leg — which was to begin in Vancouver on July 15 — and to begin instead in October with the scheduled European leg.

“I couldn’t be more grateful for your care and support,” she wrote at the end of her Instagram note. “Love, M.”

Madonna’s manager announced on June 28 that the singer was hospitalized four days prior, and she was discharged from the hospital the night of that announcement, according to TMZ.

She was spotted recently walking around the Upper East Side, leaning on a lamppost for support.

Entertainment journalist Lauren Conlin posted photos of the singer up and about in a TikTok video on Sunday. The sighting followed statements from Madonna’s friends Debi Mazar and Rosie O’Donnell.

The latter, who co-starred with the Queen of Pop in the 1992 Penny Marshall film “A League of Their Own,” said her friend was “very strong in general” and “recovering at home.”
