    Read Battery Warnings Read and follow the battery warnings and notices on pages i - v and 140 in the Nikon Guide to Digital Photography, together with any warnings and instructions supplied by the battery manufacturer. Attach the camera strap Attach the camera strap securely to the eyelet on the camera body as shown below.

    Insert the battery • Insert the battery as shown in the label at the entrance to the battery chamber, making sure the positive “+” and negative “–” terminals are in the correct orientation. The small pro- jection on the EN-EL5 battery is on the same side as the negative terminal.
