That’s adenium or desert rose.🌵 For all those who are new to this plant, let me tell you that it is a succulent that has stolen my mom’s heart away! She is just madly and deeply in love💕 with this cute-looking bonsai.   She was never a gardener. This change took years to happen but when you fall in love with something, you strive to be better at it each day. Her journey from a non-gardener to a full-time gardener (who now sells her saplings to the nurseries ) is akin to my content writing journey. Let me share some surprising similarities: 🔵 Starting from Seeds 🌱 : In gardening, it all begins with a seed; similarly, content writing starts with a spark of an idea. Both processes involve nurturing these initial elements into something meaningful and beautiful. 🔵 Nurturing With Care 🌿 : Just as my mom nurtures her plants with great care, as a content writer, always strive to craft your words with creativity and precision. Both activities require patience and attention to detail to ensure optimal growth. 🔵 Planning and Layout 🗺: Thoughtful planning and layout are a must for optimal growth and aesthetics of any garden, big or small. The same holds true for content writers. You need to outline your ideas to structure articles or pieces, ensuring a cohesive flow of information. 🔵 Deweeding ✂ : Just as gardeners remove weeds to allow plants to flourish, content writers edit and refine their work, eliminating unnecessary words or errors to enhance readability and impact. 🔵 Continuous Learning 📚 : My mother had to experiment a lot with different plants and techniques to reach this level of expertise. Therefore, as a content writer never shy off from exploring various styles and genres to refine your craft. 🔵 Continuous Growth📈 : Gardens evolve with time, with plants growing and changing with the seasons. Likewise, content writers should aim to continuously grow and evolve their skills, adapting to new trends and technologies. Be it #gardening or #contentwriting, both involve creativity and dedication. But what you achieve in return is simply exquisite: the joy of creating something beautiful and impactful. A quick *work* based round up of January. 2 new garden coaching clients on board. Lost a gardening client due to them moving. Regained the job from lost client for foreseeable. Planned ahead as far as practically possible all gardening work for year ahead. Had the whisky festival list sent, so can plan all whisky work for year ahead. Gained one new whisky content freelance job. Finished degree essay on Utilitarianism. Became vulnerable; reached out to my network for help. I will now be meeting a colleague from my previous career, with regard to some advice and mentoring relating to my degree. Notified a PR company I have contact with regards my whisky writing; they are interested!! Oh and finished my tax return one day and 13hrs before deadline which is a new record. Lessons learned: slow down, take time out from some things to focus more on others (socials break); be vulnerable, people want to help. Looking forward to February.
