Phalaenopsis violacea var. coerulea ‘Indigo’

Phalaenopsis violacea var. coerulea ‘Indigo’ is a wonderful plant that produce indigo blue flowers that last well and have a great fragrance.

Phalaenopsis violacea var coerulea ‘Indigo’ is an hybrid between 'KF-Lan' × sib, is a true blue phalaenopsis. Highly fragrant sequential blooming flowers.

Indigo blue orchids are rare in nature, the photos are representative of what the flowers should look like. The colors will vary slightly from plant to plant. grown from seed.

Phalaenopsis violacea can be found in Malaysia and Borneo. It has long green leaves, and the size is slightly larger than most of our miniature orchids. It likes partial shade and warm weather.

This is a blooming size in a 3" pot, about 1 to 2 years to blooms.

Grow in bright shade and moderate humidity. Strong air circulation is key—plants do not respond well to stagnant conditions. Allow plants to dry out slightly between waterings. May be grown potted or mounted. For potted plants we recommend sphagnum or tree fern fiber.
