Canon EOS 1D Mark II DSLR Camera Body {8.2MP}

With a combination of incredible speed and unbelievable resolution, the new EOS 1D Mark II delivers approx. f 8.5 frames per second at 8.2 megapixels. Canon has integrated three new technologies to deliver this performance Canon's next generation DIGIC II processor, a new CMOS sensor, and a new extra large buffer system. These technologies work together to deliver 40 frame bursts at 8.5 fps in JPEG, or 20 frame bursts in RAW mode. This high level of performance can be achieved in either Single Shot AF or AI Servo AF mode.

White Balance
Through 10 selectable white balance modes and other advanced white balance settings, the user can obtain highly accurate color reproduction in almost any kind of lighting. White balance compensation allows adjustment of blue/amber and magenta/green biases in ñ9 steps, as well as combined use of light-balancing and color-correction equivalent digital color filters. In fact, 360 combinations of 36 (4 colors with 9 steps each) built-in digital color filters are possible. Improved white balance bracketing creates three bracketed images from a single shutter release by shifting the white balance by up to ñ3 levels from the value set in the current white balance mode. Images can also be bracketed to a magenta/green or blue/amber bias.

A DIGIC II processor provides the processing power necessary to deliver unprecedented levels of resolution and speed. The technology combination of CMOS, DIGIC II and a buffer system allows the EOS 1D Mark II to shoot and process over 69 megapixels of data per second. Start-up time is within approximately 0.5 seconds after turning on the camera. The processor's upgraded capacity has also led to advances in the image processing algorithms to improve white balance, auto exposure and overall image quality. Photographers can choose JPEG images with four resolutions, each with ten selectable levels of compression rate. The EOS 1D Mark II supports sRGB and Adobe RGB color spaces with user-settable color saturation and tone levels, and provides five preset and two user-definable color matrix. White balance bias is correctable by ñ 9 levels for both blue/amber and magenta/green bias and the camera supports white balance bracketing up to ñ3 levels.
