Coelogyne monilirachis

Small, warm to cool grower from Sabah and Sarawak Borneo. This spring I went on a Coelogyne splurge and checked Andy's offerings. I had most of the 12 to 15 he had on his web page. I phoned him and asked how many he was hiding under his bench. 40, was the answer. He has 40 species of Coelogyne for sale which he does not list on his web site!
Ask and thou shall received took on a new meaning. I whittled them down to 20 and walked out with 12, this little cutie one of them. A small but attractive plant with maroon leaves. The flower stalk will produce up to 40 flowers on a mature plant, sequentially. It's starting out with 2, I'm sure more to come.
On Andy's recommendation, I'm growing it warm.
