Eva Longoria is moving into the Arconia.
The multihyphenate has joined the upcoming season of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building. She will appear as a recurring character who becomes integral to the twists and turns of the season’s investigation. Otherwise, her storyline is being kept under wraps.
The Flamin’ Hot director is the second new character to be announced for the comedy’s next installment, joining Molly Shannon. The Other Two star will portray a high-powered Los Angeles businesswoman, who finds herself drawn into the world of Sazz Pataki’s (Jane Lynch) murder investigation.

Longoria and Shannon will star alongside the series’ original cast, led by Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short. Meryl Streep, who made her first appearance in Only Murders season three, is also returning to her role of Loretta Durkin for the fourth season.
Season four of the hit comedy show will pick up where the previous installment ended, with the murder of Charles’ (Martin) longtime double Sazz, who was shot in the final moments of the season three finale.
As the scene cut to black, Sazz was seen seemingly writing something with her own blood on the floor of Charles’ kitchen. Why she was killed and whether Charles was the real target is still to be determined. However, just because the beloved character died, doesn’t mean fans will see any less of her. It’s quite the opposite, actually.
“We’ve loved writing Sazz so much, and that’s the beauty of the show is, you get a lot more time with the victims,” co-showrunner John Hoffman told The Hollywood Reporter in a season three postmortem. “They’re not gone when some ill fate happens to them. And that’s, I think, also why Jane said she was excited because it’s a good opportunity to go deeper with Sazz and find out what the whole big life and everything else was with her and the world of stunt doubling.”
