Press release

Konica's newly introduced 4 megapixel digital camera is the world's smallest digicam in its class. The Revio KD-400Z features an ultra slim stainless steel body, 3x optical zoom Hexanon lens and a host of recording functions.

Konica Revio KD-400Z four megapixel digital camera announced: KD-400Z memoryIt is also the world's first camera with an SD/MS Dual Memory Slot, enabling the user to choose between SD/MM Memory Card and Memory Stick. This opens up a broad range of usage possibilities, including image viewing and transmission via PC, TV, DVD player and mobile phone. It also gives increased and more versatile image storage capacity, allowing users to 'file' their images, for example by using one device for personal use and another for business, or one for still images and another for movie clips. In addition, you can copy or transfer from one medium to another.

Housing an ultra high resolution 4.13 megapixel CCD (3.95 million effective pixels), as well as Konica's original hybrid adaptive A-IPS computation program and a new signal processing engine, the KD-400Z offers detailed image quality on a par with that of silver-halide photographs. Another innovation is the New Blue LED which lights up during start-up and in self-timer mode and the camera will record and playback movies with sound and audio recording/playback for voice memos.

The 3x zoom Hexanon lens, (equivalent to 39-117mm on a 35mm camera) protected by a sliding lens cover, can be used with the 2x digital zoom to enjoy up to 6x zoom power. Other features of the camera include built-in auto-adjusting flash, red-eye reduction, and the white balance can be set for daylight, cloudy, tungsten lamp, fluorescent light or left on auto. There is a choice of recording modes too, including landscape, self-timer and sepia and the camera comes with a dedicated lithium-ion battery charger, 16Mb SD Memory card and a USB cable.
