Very Small camera, quite discrete, has a beautifull metal casing, some lovely colors, super simple and intuitive menus, a trully point-and-shoot model. The first iXus i (4Mpx) however, had a better CCD (IMHO...) cause these iXus i5 have dead pixels even when still brand new! (I had bought one brand-new for my sister, one bought used with 500pics, and now this one with 2600pics taken.. and they all have dead pixels! Red one, white ones... some brighter, some more small...) Plus, the 4Mpx iXus i was a bit more faster on shooting, and sometimes I do feel it had more definition when zooming at 100%.. But this one has a bit more usefull functions, 9focus points instead of 5, and an Automatic White Balance that works very very VERY well, this is a CANON "legacy"! =) Pros and Cons lightly analised, I still love it and that why this is my 3rd one! (first one got blind, shutter never opened again... second one got the shutter unable to close, no "click-click" when taking a pic...) DNRead full review
This is an excellent camera that offers the performance equal to new releases. This cmera can be bought for little money on eBay. Anything from £3o to £70 depending on the quality of the lot. It is very small and is still the only slim small camera that I'm willing to carry with me on a night out that offers excellent quality. There are smaller slimer cameras out ther but they tend to compremise on image quality and functionality. The only downside I woud say about this camera is the size of the LCD screen. Recommended!
