This is a great camera for the price all the ease of a point-and-shoot Easy export features. You dont need to install software to offload the photos to a computer. You can just plug in the usb cable to camera and computer and transfer photos quick. Top reasons to buy this camera over others Small, lightweight, easy to use. Very quick bootup and very responsive shutter speed. Good on batteries, but still, get rechargeable batteries save you alot of money $ Buy it.You will not be disappointed.
I bought this camera on eBay because after 5 years of having what I thought was the best camera I ever had I lost it and found that I could not purchase the exact same one again in a retail store. I had bought another sony camera which I didn't like as much. The 5.1 megapixel size seems to be perfect for making some great high resolution pics. I'm not looking to ever make a poster. All of the menu options are really intuitive to use so I never had to read the manual to start taking great pictures. I particularly love the, slide open for on / slide closed for off , feature on the front of this camera. It holds power for very long periods without needing to be recharged and it also travels well. I'd dropped my former 5.1 megapixel cybershot several times, luckily with no permanent damage. The pictures it takes are absolutely beautiful, even on the automatic setting. My friends always comment on how great my pictures are.Read full review
This little camera produces excellent resolution pictures in a variety of modes. It is one of SONY's last physical control tiny/slim cameras--later ones include touch screen controls. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm old school and like tangible, real buttons. (less complex :) This is very thin and takes shots under all extreme conditions--including underwater (with appropriate housing). I snatch these babies up when I can as they are now a VERY inexpensive way to photograph. And frankly, unless you are producing a 20 x 30 inch color poster, 5 mp is fine for 95% of consumer purposes...unless you are an Ansel Adams, of course :)
Very happy with the camera its ability to plug into TV. Carl Zeiss lens is a great feature for this camera.
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
The first one I bought had a all metal case and took a lot of abuse. I liked it because it had a carl zeiss lens and took a 5 megapixel which is all you really need for a point and shoot and for putting items for sale on ebay. The pictures were fabulous and it didn't eat up a lot of memory like the higher megapixel camera that I have. A word of caution the second cyber shot DSC T5 I bought on ebay is metal on front and plastic on back. Same quality lens but I'm not sure if this camera will hold up to the same amount of abuse with all the biking, kayaking and running around I do.
