I bought this camera many years ago, and it has served me well. It is durable and dependable. The screen is small, 'tis true, but it rotates, which makes it possible to take pictures from all kinds of crazy angles and still see what you are shooting, as opposed to all modern point-and-shoot cameras. This camera also gives you a wide variety of custom settings - you can change the aperture speed, the intensity of the flash, as well as giving you access to a wide variety of functions on a easy-to-use dial right there on top of the camera. Canon also made the lens system expandable. If you remove the trim ring, you could add additional lens accessories, like fisheye lenses, for added effects. Okay, this model only has 4 Megapixels, which makes it a "dinosaur" as another reviewer said, but, within that limit, it is a FANTASTIC camera! I only ever had a 256MB CF card in mine, and that's all I ever needed! This camera rocked!Read full review
The Powershot A80 is one of one of the most popular lines of Canon digital cameras created so far. They were affordable, compact, weighty enough to be stable but not too heavy, had a real eyepiece in addition to a view screen, and generally very durable. They did and do take excellent pictures. These days four megapixels do not sound like much, but unless one plans to blow the images up over 8 x 10 or even a bit bigger, four megapixels in the right camera can yield very satisfying images. And the A 80 is definitely the right camera.

It works well, the quality is nice. It gives off that vintage vibe. I did have to clean it a bit but it’s okay. I also had to buy a new cf card cuz this one malfunctioned but it’s okay again:) it’s great and I recommend this
