The C-5060 was a PC Magazine Editor's Choice in 2004. I bought mine new and used it for twelve years. I'd still be using it if I hadn't dropped it in some water. (!) It takes excellent pictures--even better, I think, than my Olympus 12 MP SLR. The C-5060 is light enough that it's not a hassle to carry, but still has a solid feel, and fits very comfortably in the hand. It's extremely easy to use--you don't need extensive tutorials.

A thirteen years old camera at a bargain price. The seller has kept it in top condition, consider it's age. A few items were missing but understandable: CD containing original software, lens cap and the remote control. Reviews for the camera at its time were generally on the positive side. I have to agree. Apart from the number of pixels - "only" 5.1 Mega pixels, many aspects of this camera can be compared to many modern DC or even prosumer DC, eg., it produce RAW files, 2 memory slots (only one is active at a time), in-camera RAW processing...just to name a few. The issue I have with this particular set, is focusing accuracy. I am not sure if it was due to it's age (and all the bumping it has to endure) or was it like that in the beginning. But what I found is that for far objects (landscapes), it is not always sharp. It feels like it is focusing beyond infinity. Switching to "landscape scene mode" seems to make it deliver more consistent results. I think I need to do more tests to confirm what exactly is the issue.Read full review

This camera is a well buily and easy to use camera that produces excellent quality images from the user point of view. I have not seen any technical informative reviews on this model. The images I have taken with it are sharp and i can not detect any degradation in image quality until you start getting outside the limitatations of the 5 megapixel standard. So an 11 x 14 image with this camea is about as good as one could ever ask compared to a smae size image from a 400 asa film enlargemet. It takes xd and cf cards and theere is a huge capacity with only five MP on a 1 gig card and the battery will give you around 300 pictures without the recharge. So two batteries will last all week on a vacation where all you do is take pictures. The ergonamics of the grip are wonderful if you have large hands as i do so it is a camera that feels like you have a piece of equipment when you use it and not a toy like the newer daintier cameras.Read full review
I own modern cameras, but really like this little brick of magnesium. Takes great pictures, comparable to highly pixelated images when viewed thru your computer. 4x optical zoom and I think maximum 16x digital zoom. Inexpensive and tons of fun!!
