The camera is a good all around snapshot camera--just don't be surprised at a lack of warranty coverage in my experience. I bought this to replace my stylus 840 that had it's lens stuck in the out position after 1 year. We used this camera for a year and it went to Philmont with us and took great pictures up to the 11 months of the warranty. The lens began to do the in and out dance and finally stuck inbetween in and out. Sent it in to Olympus and Olympus wanted to charge me $93 to repair this even though it was under warranty. They said on inpection it was dented at the lens--neither my son nor I noticed this issue, but whatever....It was cheaper to buy a NEW camera. Of course, Olympus offers an "exchange program", but that was a lot more than the repair and double what a new camera cost here, so I decided to buy on eBay. This was the cheapest option. I was in a bind before the holidays, I had broken my camera. I wanted a replacement fast, and didn't want to worry about buying new memory cards, or batteries. I was able to find exactly what I wanted thru Ebay at half the cost of replacing it new! Fast and efficient. I didn't even have to learn how to use a different camera because the model I bought was the same as I had before, I was able to use all the accessories that I already had. Thank you Ebay!
I already own an Olympus camera just like thsi one. My 6 year old neice wanted a camera for her birthday & wanted one like mine. I searched all over for a reasonable priced auction, sinc ehs eis only 6. I love this camera! I have nevr had a problem with mine. I am thinking of upgrading to a newer Stylus for myself now. And the Olympus software is wonderful! So many editing features! i love it!
An excellent camera, in fact have used several of the olympus stylus series and are all simple, give great results and have useful features. Overall, wouldn't buy anything else.
Tape-worm time behind of this chamber(camera) habia looked opinions in forums on her(it) and they were speaking favorably on her(it). Now that I have I see that to buy the OLYMPUS STYLUS 840 was a success, very good the chamber(camera) was not waiting to enjoy it so much ......... jejejeje Sorprendio the quality of image and video together with the temporizador.. Even lacking me much for discovering
