Battery wont hold charge
Ordered a new battery since my old battery was 5 years old and wouldn't hold a charge for too long. Was very surprised when I discovered that this new battery wouldn't hold its charge for much longer than the old one. When my phone was new one would have to charge it once a week or so. Was expecting about the same performance from a new battery but no, not even close. Will have to charge it on a daily basis. And I don't even have data. So no youtube videos or facebook etc. I strictly use my phone for sending text messages or making the occasional phone call. This battery is bad. Will not recommend it. Old battery was manufactured on March 28 2012. New battery manufactured on Oct 8 2016. Same specs and everything (1200 mAh). New battery performance is unacceptable. Its actually being ... Good product quality and passed all the three manufacturing "F"s: Fit, Form and Function.
The battery was a Samsung product and not a third part battery. I verified to see that there was still a voltage potential on the battery terminals, which meant that it was rechargeable. After the first charge the battery lasted as specified in the user manual. It was packaged in a box and well protected during shipment.
