    Great cameras for the age and price

    This is my first DSLR so I’m quite happy with it even with being a older model. Given the amount of pixels you need to print a quality 8x10 this camera fits the requirements nicely. Plus the continuous shutter makes capturing moving objects real easy.

    Great to start & going into pro dslr photo!

    great slr starter camera! i bought this after i took some photo classes and its amazing & easy to take really great pictures (with Auto Focus on lens) I read several reviews and decided this was the one to start with a great camera body.. which is capable to use the biggest & expensive telephoto lenses. $$ I like to travel with this camera, take with me almost all the time. Battery life is great.. i dont use LCD (which is ok) to review photos a lot.. So great & affordable slr canon camera kit. I would recommend it to a friend btw =)

    The Canon EOS XTI/400D is a very decent camera!

    This camera is amazing for beginners. It gives you a wide range of photo possibilities. You can also use different lenses to give you the best picture possible. For someone who doesn't want to spend thousands on a decent camera, this is a good one. I took amazing shots of the lunar eclipse and stars in the sky! It's good for close ups and far away shots! Family shots come out amazing. I took pics of my friend on his skate board and they came out amazing as he was in motion. Very happy with this camera and right now it can be found at a decent price on ebay!

    Great starter camera!

    I have been using Canon SLR cameras for 28 years. The Canon Digital Rebel XT and XTI are good starter cameras. Plenty to play with to get your feet wet. What I would recommend to a new shutter bug is to buy used at a cheap price(under $200.00). Once you understand ISO, focal length, aperture, and shutter speed and you can adjust for changing outdoor light then trade up to one of Canons more expensive SLR cameras. Kent Taylor
