    A great little camera

    This is actually my second camera of this type. I purchased it because the extra lens are difficult to find. Although I also have a DSLR, sometimes it is preferable to have a light but sturdy pocket camera. What I particularly like about this camera are the Carl Zeiss optics. They are fantastic, on the level of the Panasonic Lumix Leica lens. I can think of nothing negative to say about this camera or the vendor.

    Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P100 5.1 Megapixel - A Great camera

    I purchased one of these Sony Cybershots many years ago for a friend and we loved it so much that I've had several other friends and relatives buy the same model of camera. Compared to today's cameras, 5.1 megapixels is not a lot of definition, but I feel that if you need more than 5, you should invest in a professional Digital SLR, not a consumer point-and-shoot camera. This camera is extremely reliable. The only problem I've had with one was a direct result of dropping it from a standing height onto cobblestones directly on its lens. Not too many cameras will take that abuse. As far as photographing, this camera does a great job. There are a variety of options that you can use. These are easy to adjust. In addition to the normal fully-automatic mode, I use the macro (close-up) setting ...

    Good product, could be better.

    I love the little camera, but it only uses a weird memory card that is hard to find and very expensive. It does take great pictures and is easy to operate. The memory card is not easily moved from the camera to the computer dock. I don't know if they make a adapter for it. But that is just more money to spend and the card only holds about 110 pictures.

    Been using this model 15 years

    I am a homr inspector. I take thousands of digital pix every week. This camera is a work horse. It takes great pix, it is rugged, and since it is an old model I buy them very inexpensively on Ebay. Highly recommended.
