This Morning's Rochelle Humes has been confirmed for a UK cameo role in new Disney movie Wish.

Humes will be playing a character called Rochelle, whose one true wish is to be the captain of a ship.

UK-specific cameos are a tradition for Disney and Pixar releases, with recent examples including Tim Peake in Lightyear and Anne-Marie in Turning Red.

"It is a dream come true to join the voice cast of Wish. The film nods to the magical legacy of the Disney films I grew up with and I cannot wait to see my children's faces when they hear my voice on the big screen," Humes said.

Wish arrives in cinemas on November 24 to mark the 100th anniversary of Disney. Fittingly, it's a a very meta movie set in the magical kingdom of Rosas where your wishes came really come true.

One such wish comes from Asha (Ariana DeBose) and it proves so powerful that it's answered by a cosmic force known as Star. Together with her now-talking pet goat Valentino (Alan Tudyk), Asha and Star must confront the formidable ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico (Chris Pine).

Wish has been directed by Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn from a screenplay by Jennifer Lee, who worked together with Buck on both Frozen movies, and Allison Moore. Original songs for the movie were written by Julia Michaels.

Talking earlier this year, Lee explained why it was Wish that was chosen to be Disney's big movie for its 100th anniversary, and not something like Frozen 3 or another franchise sequel.

"I love our sequels, it's an honour when people like anything you created enough that it's worth a sequel, so I'll never feel anything but grateful for it," she explained.

"But I also love our originals, because that's an important part of who we are and how we discover where we can go in storytelling. So I think number one for the start for us is that this had to be an original."

Wish is released in cinemas on November 24.
