Andrea Vallejo

Andrea Vallejo currently serves as Government Affairs Manager at the Office of Illinois Governor JB Pritzker. In her role, she works as a liaison between the Governor’s Office and external stakeholders covering the Collar Counties and Latinx outreach. 

Prior to her position as Government Affairs Manager, she was selected for the Illinois James Dunn Fellowship within the External Affairs team. Andrea also worked as the Alumni Liaison for the Smithsonian Latino Center’s Young Ambassadors Program in Washington D.C., a program that fosters the next generation of Latino community-conscious leaders around the country. She serves as Co-Chair of the YAP Advisory Board for the National Museum of the American Latino. 

Andrea holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Policy from Aurora University. During her time at Aurora, Andrea received the highest honor of her graduating class and became a co-author in Today’s Young Inspired Latina. Andrea is a proud daughter of immigrant parents, first-generation, and Mexican-American. Giving back to her community has been instilled in her since moving to America at a young age. She hopes to pursue a Juris Doctorate to bridge her interests in law and government.
