Ecobulb - Narcissus Geranium

'Geranium' is a perennial bulb with narrow, light bluish-green leaves and clusters of up to 6 fragrant white flowers with deep orange-red cups. These were part of the ecobulb daffodil collection from Garden Organic catalogue that are at last, in mid-May, producing beautiful blooms for the second year running.

After one of the downpours today when the sky cleared, I squelched over the grass to the plot where they're blooming in profusion and adopted a low viewpoint that I have found works well for translucent petals like these. There was no question of lying on the grass today so I held the camera below the blooms and fired off about half a dozen shots. Later, on the computer I did some judicious cropping of the best shot.

I also applied the Brush Strokes accentuated edges filter lightly to define the raindrops a little better. You may only see this is you click the magnifying glass!
