    Nice package, nice pictures, cheaply made. This camera although from one of the most known brands of electronics in the world lays an egg. It barely lasted long enough to cover its warranty and it broke. The lens zoom totally did not work properly through its different positions. We fixed it ourselves by watching some UTube videos and has worked for a while but had to take out this "toy" apart so carefully and gently lubricate the cheap plastic lens casing to that it might have a chance to work. It did, not as smooth or with same sharpness of image as before but at least did not have to throw camera away. Not a goo choice.

    My samsung camera will not turn on. The lens is extended. When I push the power button the blue light comes
    on, camera beeps, then light goes of. If i push the picture button a picture will come on for 3 seconds
    then beeps and goes off.

    When I press the power button it lights up, makes a loud beep and turns off again. Nothing comes on the screen.

    the lens is stuck. it will not go in. also nothing is showing up on the display screen.

    Oh, and there's a guy on Ebay trying to pawn off his SL202 with stuck lens for it's repair parts value, which he apparently thinks is 40$.

    Frozen lens happened to them, it happened to me, and it could happen to you. I guess the take-away point here is not to buy an SL202; I won't be buying any kind of Samsung camera ever again...stuck lens seems like somewhat of a common problem with digital cams, but it seems like a much bigger issue with the SL202; it wasn't released too long ago, and there are so many people with the same problem over the past couple of months.

    I bought this because of some positive reviews. But I was duped. something is wrong with the review system, it does not reflect the truth. Camera is very low quality, easily damaged, paint is peeling. You need to buy a memory card, only takes 2 pictures. The picture quality is so low. what is 10 megapixel? my old 1 megapixel camera took better pictures. Do not buy it used either! there is a reason it is cheap! and it is not cheap, Samsung robs people legally, alt these fake reviews. my sister bought a cam corder and it is piece of crap too. Neverbuy samsung again!

    I got this camera for Christmas and i love it. It's totally easy to use and the picture quality is great. My daughter loves to use it as well and so im looking on here to buy her the same one. I love the fact that it does video with sound and it's small enough to put in my purse or pocket.. You would be making a great purches!

    Absolute worthless camera for taking any kind of pictures where time is of the essence. Be prepared for focus adjustments that can last several seconds. My 3 year old poses and moves very quickly and the Samsung SL202 will not respond quickly enough to get the shot. Ridiculously slow reaction time. Buyer beware!

    Maybe it's just the grey ones that have a problem. Or just one bad lot. I bought the SL202 this summer and have not had any problems with it at all. It has a lot of terrific features and takes crisp pictures. You can set everything to 'auto' and let the camera do the work, or use the manual settings. The manual was readable enough to walk a first-time digital camera user like me through all of the different features.
