These fantastic cameras aren’t so great. After having them a little longer, I started getting numerous false alarms. Mainly in the AM. No movement, but birds chirping. Also, Friday I pulled up to find my Landlord at the house. He was in plain view of the camera about 23-25 feet back and absolutely no alert/ motion detection. He had been there about 15 min. I then realized I didn’t get alerts unless a human was detected within 10-15 feet from the camera. Needless to say, I returned it.
I updated my 5 stars.
I never leave reviews but wanted to make a point to do so for this security camera.

Overall, I love it! My partner bought several of the same brand for his place (corded and without human detection). It sends notifications for any type of movement, even for a bug near the lens. That would drive me crazy.

This camera works great! No useless notifications (with human detection on). Some people may like all the notifications, and that IS and option if you turn human detection off.

Here are some things to know that I wasn’t fully aware of:

This camera has motion detection but no motion tracking. I didn’t quite know the difference until now (motion tracking detects movement and follows the movement). That would be great if this camera had it, but from what I’ve gathered battery/solar powered cameras struggle with this feature because it’s draining on the battery. I leave my camera angled toward the door, but I have the ability to view any angle in the app.

Also, this solar powered camera doesn’t have all day record because that is also draining on a battery/solar powered camera. You can set the camera to record for up to 30 seconds each time a different movement is detected. Also, if you receive a notification about any movement, you can record in app and save to your phone.

The corded cameras seem to have a little more capabilities, but for someone who rents (me) or who doesn’t want to drill holes all the way through the house to plug in (also me due to renting) I’m content. (:

Nothing like spending a few hundred dollars to upgrade your property and then find out the new version is objectively worse than the old one. Constantly fails, loses connection, leaves a gaping hole in my security net. But don't you worry, I'll be ripping all these cameras down now.

Don't waste your time. If this happened in less than 30 days I would have returned it. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I bought 2 of them, the panels keep them charged pretty well, I only get partial direct day light, maybe 5 hours, and they maintain their charge very well, it takes hours of being connected to run the battery down to low. The motion detection works great but doesn't record for very long at a time, I don't have cloud recording so it only saves video for a week, but the app is pretty good, easy to install and setup.

I love the camera for its 360 motion. but after a month or so I got a notification saying batter less than 20 percent. made sure it was in direct sunlight and everything plugged in. had a good sunny day and checked it again that night and was down to 18 percent. lucky I still had a week to exchange it and waiting on the new one to arrive. if that is fixed on the new one will definaly give it 5 stars.

I called customer service and they told me they would get back to me in a day while they didn’t die and I called numerous times after and all they did was hang up was an automated call, since then they have reached out to me and handled everything in a professional manner. I couldn’t ask for anything better than the person I talk to. They were great once they called me. They were nothing but fantastic so I went from a two star review to a five star because of the person that I dealt with now everything is handled and I’m happy and they’re happy. It is a very good product and I would recommend it and their customer service.

I purchased two of these initially early last year they worked perfectly so I bought two more in October. Unfortunately these quickly began to have battery drain issues. I pulled them from the exterior if my house and brought them inside to plug them into 5V chargers but the batteries would not charge. Unfortunately I was outside of my return window for Amazon. however, I reached out to Dekco customer service from their website and they were very helpful. They promptly sent replacement cameras, which are currently working as they should.
