Nokia Lumia 710: Windows Phone gone budget friendly

Being the second phone from the Microsoft & Nokia partnership, the Nokia Lumia 710 running WP7.5 (and soon to be updated to WP7.8) has come up as a very budget friendly handset.

Targeting the likes of HTC and Samsung, the Lumia 710 has made waves across the market considering keeping up to Microsoft’s strict hardware requirements on the Windows Phone platform, maintaining the same 1.4 GHz Scorpion CPU and 512 MB of RAM from the Lumia 800, while maintaining an LCD rather than an AMOLED display, lesser memory and a 5 megapixel camera.

The phone on first sight looks good looking and promising; giving you the distinct curved stone like impression like all the current generation Nokia handsets. Anesthetics wise the phone with that entire plastic build does tend to make it look cheap when compared to handsets from HTC and Samsung.

But then again when held in hand, it does give you a solid feel rather than just being something flimsy.

The Lumia 710 while packing its 5MP autofocus shooter comes with a dual LED flash and 720p video recording and also packs a noise cancelling dedicated microphone that proves quite helpful when you’re talking to someone on the phone with a noisy environment in the background.

Well that’s about it for now to have you all thinking what kind of phone this is. We will be posting our in depth review on the Nokia Lumia 710 soon in a couple of days.
