ALCATRAZZ On Parole XL 1574/5
I assume the title is found on the spine only, it being a reference to the band’s first album No Parole From Rock ‘N’ Roll
While the front cover was lifted straight from the front of their first Japan Tour program:
Japan: 1984
Graham Bonnet’s new band after leaving Rainbow, in which he teamed up with Yngwie Malmsteen (who quit Alcatrazz due to “creative differences” in July of 1984, to be replaced by Steve Vai), despite its popularity in Japan, never quite took off from under the shadow of Rainbow. Alcatrazz toured Japan in January and October of 1984.
1574 A: Incubus / Too Young To Die, Too Drunk To Lie / Hiroshima Mon Amour / Desert Song / Night Games
1574 B: Big Foot / Island In The Sun / Kree Nakoorie / Yngwie Malmsteen
1575 A: Since You’ve Been Gone / Suffer Me / Jet To Jet
1575 B: New Song (likely ‘Evil Eye’) / Lost In Hollywood / All Night Long
Source: Supposedly, this is from “L.A. Country Club, December 9 1983” and what they are probably referring to is an FM broadcast from the Reseda, CA Country Club on Helloween 1983, however the set list from that broadcast does not match what’s on this double album, while the set list for the January 1984 does.
As always, if you know more, do leave a comment.
