Laser Sight Locations in Co-op

This guide lists every laser sight spot that players may find in every official campaign in the default co-op mode.

The followings are three guaranteed locations for laser sights, while the rest are only potential:
Dead Center, chapter 2 (c1m2_streets): Inside Whitaker's Gun Shop.
Cold Stream, chapter 2 (c13m2_southpinestream): Before the explosive barrels that causes panic event.
Cold Stream, chapter 3 (c13m3_memorialbridge): Under the bridge, next to the M60 gun.

In Dead Center, there are no laser sights to be found except in chapter c1m2_streets .

There's one definite laser sight in the gun store. Most of the time, this laser sight should suffice as there is every tier-1 and tier-2 gun to pick up there so you have the best primary gun with the laser. Additional laser sight can spawn inside any of these three tents before entering the safe room to the next chapter:

In c2m1_highway , there are seven potential spots. There will always be a Hunting Rifle just before the motel so check if you can get a laser sight early on if you want a lasered tier-two gun. There is no other tier-two gun in this chapter.

You're right. According to these nuts (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ijaxyb71k5wfdyq/AAC7AKGQHjdbGEecWwGE3cEra?dl=0) , some spots can either spawn a laser sight or an ammunition upgrade pack.

Not sure if anyone knows this already or not, but laser sights spawn where incendiary and explosive ammo spawn, which could probably mean it has a 1/3 chance of spawning in place of any ammo upgrade.

@Hiuman: I read through decompiled maps (vmf) via a PHP script and just output keyvalue data from the entities. You can open up these nuts with every text editor.

c3m2 for instance...

you could get to the location with setpos -7880 5412 15 for instance.

Firstly, of all campaigns, there are three guaranteed spots for laser sights: one in Whitaker's store and other two in Cold Stream. Secondly, in some chapters (as you can see in the spot counts) some chapters will never have a laser sight. In those chapters, one can assure that they'll never found any laser sight so think of it as an advice to not bother looking for one in chapters where you can read the "zero" in the counts tables.

And note that in ᴿᴱᴻᴱ™'s comment, he has shown that he pinpointed the specific locations of all the possible laser sights. I don't personally know the technical methods of finding the possible laser sights (besides being lucky); but ᴿᴱᴻᴱ™ knows a way (I don't know exactly how but as I read the files he shared, I'm convinced), while Salakirby can pinpoint specific possible locations by using a map editor for Source-engine games.

All in all, you can no longer say that "it's impossible to pinpoint a specific location."

But this is pointless. They can spawn anywhere and it's impossible to pinpoint a specific location other than the Whitaker's store. They might not even spawn at all during a campaign.
