Up for bid is a division of Laelia purpurata striata 'Venous Port', a beautifully-colored semialba, but with a flush of pink to the petals and sepals. This is a unique color, not with a white background like a typical semialba, and lacking the dark color that would make it a striata, venosa, or tipo. Combined with great color, this cultivar has good size and shape as well. It was selected from a flask purchased in Brazil in 2002 for its excellent flower shape, size, and color.  Combined with the good lip color, it has high count, and can get five flowers per inflorescence on a big plant. This is a division from the original plant; this particular division is from noted Cattleya collectors Ken and Amy Jacobsen, who imported the flask from Brazil and made this selection. It is growing well in a 6" pot with 5 growths and one lead, and is tested CymV and ORSV negative.  Plant photographed on 5/2.
