Sep. 24, 2015 [update]: The Kingidium deliciosum is in bloom again!
Jul. 10, 2014: OrchidWebTV on YouTube recently posted this video featuring Phalaenopsis species plants.
It’s difficult not to want all these plants. While watching the video, we recognized the names deliciosa and what I thought sounded like “mannii” (turned out it’s Phal. mariae that was mentioned). These names sounded familiar since I thought I saw these names in the most recent Orchid Works plant list. Sure enough Kingidium deliciosum and Phal. mannii were indeed there. Reviewing the video, these weren’t exactly the Phal species that were featured but the seed of inspiration to get these cute little plants has been planted.
(picture from Internet) Definitely far from looking like the Phals in the video but interesting nonetheless.
The flowers on this plant are tiny-cute. The “Phal. deliciosa” in the video turned out to be Kingidium decumbens. These renamings are thoroughly confusing!
