Big ol Doritis and a couple of Masdies

Aug. 25, 2014 [update]: The gallon-Doritis we got has been in spike for a while and now we have blooms! It’s pink!

May 10, 2014: We just got our recent order from The Orchid Works and it’s an interesting mix.

This Dor. pulcherrima f. champornensis plant is supposed to be “the pink kind”. We can’t find any information specifically on the clonal name ‘Suan’ so we’ll just have for wait for our plant to bloom to see exactly what we got. (picture from Internet)

Masdevallia herraduraeWe also got a Masdevallia species plant in this order. The catalog listed this plant as “Masd. herrodea”. There doesn’t seem to be such a species name, tho. We think it’s Masdevallia herradurae.
