Aug. 25, 2014 [update]: The gallon-Doritis we got has been in spike for a while and now we have blooms! It’s pink!

Dor. pulcherrima f. champornensis ‘Suan’

May 10, 2014: We just got our recent order from The Orchid Works and it’s an interesting mix.

Dor. pulcherrima f. champornensis ‘Suan’

This Dor. pulcherrima f. champornensis plant is supposed to be “the pink kind”. We can’t find any information specifically on the clonal name ‘Suan’ so we’ll just have for wait for our plant to bloom to see exactly what we got. (picture from Internet)

We also got a Masdevallia species plant in this order. The catalog listed this plant as “Masd. herrodea”. There doesn’t seem to be such a species name, tho. We think it’s Masdevallia herradurae.

This was the tag that came with the plant. Still quite a mystery to us what exactly this plant is.

If this plant is indeed a Masd. herradurae plant, the flowers look interesting (picture from Internet)

We also got a Masd. Rosemary, the one plant we got that we are absolutely certain what it is.
