May 9, 2014: Larry visited the English Gardens at Royal Oak to check out what they got for Mother’s Day this weekend. No really interesting orchids unfortunately but he found this variegated leaf mini Phalaenopsis marked down.

The plant tag that came with it just said Golden Coffee. We knew it’s one of those popular mini Phal/Dtps Sogo plants so we hit the Internet to find out the proper name for this plant.

There were withered flowers that were still on the plant and they were clearly all pink. With the beautiful variegated leaves and the pink flowers, this plant is definitely Dtps. Sogo Yenlin ‘Coffee’ (picture from Internet).
