Dendrobium season at English Gardens

Sep. 27, 2015 [update]: The Dendrobium Thongchai Gold ‘Pinwattana’ is in bloomg again on the same cane.

May 11, 2014 [update]: Happy Mother’s Day! Our Dendrobium Thongchai Gold ‘Pinwattana’ plant has been giving us beautiful flowers.

Apr. 3, 2014 [update]: The Brsdm. Rex ‘Okika’ buds have openned! And they’re spectacular.

Mar. 25, 2014: Larry dropped by the English Gardens at Royal Oak to check out what’s new. A pleasant surprise to see that they’ve stocked their shelves with Dendrobiums! It must have been a rough trip to their stores since there were a few plants that ended up straight in the Manager’s Special shelf. Even more at full price that we believe will be moved to the Manager’s Special shelf soon considering the bud blasts and the look of their leaves. Larry takes home a couple Dendrobiums and a Brassidium that were half-price for whatever reason.

Dendrobium Liberty Green

There were absolutely no pictures online for Den. Liberty Green but there are a bunch for Den. Liberty White (picture above from Internet). It’s always exciting to get a plant with no flowers and no internet pictures so when it does bloom, it’s like a mystery solved.

Brsdm. Rex ‘Okika’

After searching the Net for pictures of flowers for Brsdm. Rex ‘Okika’, I noticed that there were only pictures of Brassia Rex ‘Okika’ (picture above from Internet). The plant that Larry got is in spike so we’ll see if they’re the same thing soon enough.
