Dendrobium hymenanthum

Dendrobium hymenanthum is epiphytic in nature. It has a wide distribution in Asia.

It resemble a white flower bifolate cattleya but only a small friction of its size, produces one or two flowers. The flowers are scented.

Dendrobium hymenanthum grows very well in Singapore and is very free flowering but unfortunately short- lived . They last approximately a day or sometimes two.

There a couple of colour forms and shape spotted. The Indonesia form has whiter petals, the phillippines form- full alba ones are spotted, Malaysia are longish while the Thailand forms some are stocky and smaller in form.
